Source code for the open-source parts of the installers
Setliner's own code is not open source, but the desktop installers contain open-source components whose licences give you the right to their source code: the Java runtime and jpackage's launcher and installer pieces (GNU General Public License, version 2, with the Classpath Exception) and parts of the WiX Toolset (Microsoft Reciprocal License). This page has the complete source of the exact versions in the installers on our download page, served from the same server as the installers. The licences themselves are listed on the third-party notices page.

Setliner does not change the source of any of these components. The build reduces the runtime with jlink to the modules java.base, java.datatransfer, java.xml, java.prefs, java.desktop, java.logging and jdk.crypto.ec (from 2.2.41 the Windows runtime also has jdk.accessibility, the Java Access Bridge for screen readers), with the options --strip-debug, --no-header-files, --no-man-pages and --strip-native-commands, and some builds then have the runtime generate its own class-data-sharing archive (classes.jsa). jpackage sets the launcher's name, icon and version information. In the Windows installers up to 2.2.33, the WiX files main.wxs and ui.wxf began as copies of the ones jpackage generates and were changed by Setliner; from 2.2.41 they are Setliner's own files, written from the WiX documentation. Both are in the installer build files below, with the build configuration that runs jlink and jpackage. The Windows runtime also contains Microsoft's Visual C++ runtime libraries (vcruntime140, msvcp140, ucrtbase and the api-ms-win DLLs), redistributed as Eclipse Temurin ships them; they are not open source and are not covered here.
Setliner's installer build files
The files that control how these components were compiled into each installer: the Windows installer's WiX sources (main.wxs and ui.wxf; up to 2.2.33 derived from jpackage's templates and provided under the GNU General Public License, version 2, with the Classpath Exception), the packaging configuration that runs jlink and jpackage, and the Windows and macOS build scripts (from 2.2.41 also the Linux ones). Each archive has a README. Setliner's own application code is not included.

The complete source of the JDK the Windows, macOS and Linux 2.2.44, 2.2.42 and 2.2.41 runtimes and launchers were built from, as Eclipse Adoptium publishes it, with the temurin-build scripts at the commit its release file names and Adoptium's own checksum file and signature.

Eclipse Temurin 21.0.12.1+1 (Windows and macOS)
The complete source of the JDK the Windows and macOS runtimes, the launcher, wixhelper.dll and the InstallDirNotEmptyDlg files were built from, as Eclipse Adoptium publishes it (launcher: src/jdk.jpackage/*/native/applauncher; wixhelper.dll: src/jdk.jpackage/windows/native/libwixhelper; dialog: src/jdk.jpackage/windows/classes/jdk/jpackage/internal/resources). The build scripts Adoptium used are the temurin-build archive, at the commit its release file names. Adoptium's own checksum file and signature are included.

Ubuntu OpenJDK 21.0.12.1+1-1~26.04.4 (Linux)
The source package of Ubuntu's openjdk-21 package, which the Linux runtime and launcher come from, as Ubuntu publishes it: the upstream source, the Debian packaging and patches Ubuntu builds it with (debian.tar.xz, including the build rules), and the signed .dsc that lists their checksums. Older Linux installers (2.2.26 and earlier) carried Ubuntu's openjdk-17 (17.0.20+8-1~26.04, then 17.0.20.1+1-1~26.04); their source is available under the written offer below.

WiX Toolset 3.14.1 (Windows installer)
The WiX v3 source at tag wix3141rtm, the release the Windows installers were built with. wixca.dll is in src/ext/ca/wixca; the dialogs, their images and their custom action are in src/ext/UIExtension.

All the checksums are also in SHA256SUMS (a copy is here). To check the files, download them with it, keeping the setliner, temurin, ubuntu and wix folders, and run sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS, or use Get-FileHash in PowerShell.

Written offer
For at least three years after we last distribute any Setliner installer, including earlier versions and copies distributed through an app store, we will give anyone who asks a complete machine-readable copy of the corresponding source code of the GPL and MS-RL components in it, on a medium customarily used for software interchange, for no more than our cost of physically sending it. Write to support@setliner.com and name the installer and its version. This offer is valid for anyone who has received the installer, or this offer, from anyone.
